About

My name is Amalie. I am a first generation college student, writer, vegetarian who was born in England and still pronounces tomato funny.

I came to the University of Florida after being homeschooled my entire life and learning that out of all the things I was free to explore in my childhood (including yoga dance, 4-H and even growing citrus trees) writing was the thing I could see myself loving into unforeseeable future. Over the years I have had the privilege of contributing to the student-run newspaper The Alligator, news site WUFT, and becoming editor of the campus satire publication The Really Independent Crocodile.

I hope through this site you will be able to gain a better idea of who I am, and what I value: honesty, a sense of humor and good stories.
